With a reputation for delivering amazing customer service, our client is looking for an ambitious Business Development Manager to work across the UK to bring in new business from a wide range of clients, primarily in the oil & gas and renewable energy industries.

Working with a team of professionals you must be able to work with colleagues to:

• Produce and implement the sales and marketing plan

• Execute an effective direct marketing approach

• Make sales visits to clients across the UK to present the company's capabilities and secure new business

• Implement and maintain an effective CRM system

A degree or similar in a technical or business subject is desirable, as is self-motivation to challenge yourself to learn, determination to succeed, excellent organisation skills and good attention to detail. A structured training programme will be provided. May suit a recent graduate keen to make their mark.

US2U Consulting team members Rachel and Kerwin Blackburn both spoke of their own start-up business experiences to business students at Norwich School on 28th September 2022 to kick-start the school's Young Chamber scheme - the entrepreneurial initiative that US2U Consulting are sponsoring for the 2022/23 academic year. The Young Chamber initiative allows students to set up and run their own businesses during the school year; enabling them to gain valuable commercial experience to take into their careers beyond school.

Rachel spoke about her experience of establishing US2U Consulting in 2006 and the importance to developing a solid business plan. Kerwin then spoke about his own experience of starting his online art brand 'By Kerwin' in 2019, and growing this over the pandemic period of the last few years.

As they continue to develop game-changing systems in the green energy space for global markets, our client is looking for an ambitious Chief of Staff to be the CEO's right-hand person to execute significant strategic and operational tasks, as well as people and cultural initiatives to enable the business to achieve its ambitious business goals.

Working with colleagues you must be able to demonstrate your ability to:

• Advise the CEO on a full range of topics including people and culture

• Be available at any moment to give support/advice; keen to travel internationally as required

• Handle day to day tasks for the CEO, including managing international travel

• Lead and deliver specific change projects

• Implement the People Strategy, including cross-team communications

This role requires a track record of leading dynamic teams in a matrix structure, delivering projects to time and budget, working multi-sites for an international business and implementing effective people strategies. Experience of working in a start-up business is desirable. A degree in business administration, finance or similar is required. A CIPD qualification or similar is desirable. You will be extremely organised and flexible whilst able to work well with colleagues to influence positive change if it's "best for the business", sometimes in a challenging environment.
