  • SuperSports nets it for a second year!

TA92.JPGUS2U Consulting are pleased to support SuperSports Kidz Club wheelchair basketball team for a second year.

"Your sponsorship last year helped our young basketball team to enter the national junior league of the Great Britain Wheelchair Basketball Association" said Sue Coombe, Chair. "This year we will be entering two teams in the league, in two age groups and at least one of our young players has the possibility of becoming a paralympic athlete in the 2012 games."

The club also ran a very successful activity programme over the summer holiday for around forty children with physical disabilities. This offered activities including drama, dance, sailing, self-defence, rifle shooting, climbing and falconry.

  • US2U Consulting helps SuperSports Kidz Club

us2u-consulting-helps-supersports-kidz-clubIn June we saw an article in the local paper about SuperSports Kidz Club, a charity based in Norwich that runs various sporting events for children with physical disabilities. They were looking for sponsors to assist in paying for training and travel as from September the Norwich Lowriders, its basketball team, will play for the first time in the Great Britain Wheelchair Basketball Association.

We decided that we should support this local charity and so on Saturday 2 August some of the team went along to present a cheque for £500.

Sue Coombe, the club’s co-co-ordinator said: “This will certainly be a fantastic boost to our club, and especially to our wheelchair basketball team, which we set up just two years ago. We are currently in the process of joining the Great Britain Wheelchair Basketball Association Junior League. This means so much to the children, as they will get to play competitively for the first time against other teams from across the UK.”

  • US2U Consulting Make Norwich Lowriders Donation

In line with the company's December theme of charitable giving, US2U Consulting were pleased to make a donation to Norwich Lowriders Wheelchair Basketball Club, a sports team we intially supported back in 2008 when the club was first getting established.

It was great to catch up with some of the people involved with the club and to hear about the progress they have made since their early days, which has seen them grow from playing locally to competing in regional and national competitions.
