  • Backstage for Good!

Some of the US2U Consulting team attended the second night of Take That's Wonderland Live tour dates at Norwich City's Carrow Road on Friday 16 June.

Aside from a brilliant gig there was another point of interest for us, which came after most people had already headed for the exits...

We stayed behind to catch a glimpse of some of the backstage team - which included 30 lorries and over 270 people - to watch their well-drilled packing up routine.

This was a great example of teamwork and precision, with each individual working under intense time pressure and knowing their exact role, along with distinct teams of people working effectively alongside each other to ensure the gear could soon hit the road for Take That's night date. Watch a clip of what we saw below!

  • Jeremy Goss Heads Fundraiser for the NNAB

Norwich City Football Club legend Jeremy Goss, the Head of Fundraising for the Norfolk & Norwich Association for the Blind (NNAB) hosted an evening of fun in support of the charity.

US2U Consulting was pleased to be in attendance and support a good cause. The NNAB helps 20000 people with poor sight throughout Norfolk. It has a residential home and 20 sheltered flats for blind and partially sighted people.

Rachel said "It is great to support a local charity which helps so many people be as independent as possible.

  • Norfolk Institute of Directors Dinner

TA107.jpgKerry Flower, Head of HR, KLMuk Engineering, joined Rachel Blackburn for an evening where Martin Bell OBE provided the entertainment with poetry and commentary of his vast experiences as a military man, journalist and politician.

He gave his first public airing of his new poem about Norwich City Football Club's recent promotion to the Premier League.

  • Norfolk IoD Annual Dinner 2016

US2U Consulting attended the Norfolk Institute of Directors 2016 Annual Dinner on Friday 14 October, held at Carrow Road, home of Norwich City Football Club.

The event brought together business leaders from across the region, providing valuable networking opportunities and a great atmosphere.

The evening was also headlined by Lord Paddy Ashdown (pictured with Rachel Blackburn), who delivered a fantastic after-dinner speech - and thankfully, no hats were on the menu!

We look forward to seeing how business across Norfolk and beyond responds to opportunities in the near future.

  • Rachel Blackburn Kicks Off Mentoring Programme

Having assisted in the development and October launch of City College Norwich School of Higher Education's Mentoring Programme, Rachel Blackburn kicked off her role as Mentor to two business students in an Executive box at Carrow Road, home of Norwich City Football Club.

The Mentees, Laura Key and Kasia Mydlik (pictured left and right, respectively), were eager to be mentored by Rachel after learning of her own story and experiences in business, including founding US2U Consulting.

Rachel plans to meet the Mentees several times over the next year to provide guidance and advice in line with the agreed targets and objectives for the Programme.

Laura commented on the first meeting, "It was really motivating and energizing. I will be putting your communication advice into practice immediately!"

"I am so appreciative of not only the way you have taken us under your wing but also of your generosity with your time and resources" said Kasia.

Thank you to Norwich City FC for their contribution to the City College Norwich Mentoring Programme.
