  • Circling Key Issues at Norfolk Chamber Roundtable Discussion

Both Kerwin Blackburn and new recruit Lee Casey attended the Norfolk Chamber's Roundtable Discussion on Tuesday 11 July in Hethersett.

This discussion allowed businesses throughout Norfolk to have their say and pitch key ways in which they feel the region can increase business productivity and ensure growth across a range of sectors. The feedback will inform the New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership's upcoming Economic Strategy for Norfolk - the first update since 2014.

Following initial group talks and collective discussions amongst 51 members of the Norfolk Chamber, many tables seemed to cover the prominent issue of broadband speed and connectivity in the region. Alongside this, many delved into deeper issues such as the need to improve physical and digital infrastructure, rebrand Norfolk as a hub for young professionals and fill a skills gap in the region.

These findings reflect the need for the People Development and Training services that US2U Consulting offers to clients, tailored to meet the requirements of both the individuals and the organisation.

  • Developing For The Future

We have built on our recent developments by hiring a Marketing Coordinator to take on some of the responsibilities within the office.

US2U Consulting will benefit from the extra manpower and ideas at this time, as well as helping to inspire a young graduate beginning his career.

Stuart Taylor, a BA (Hons) graduate of the University of East Anglia has joined the US2U Consulting team to gain experience working in a busy consultancy firm and is relishing the opportunity to get involved in all areas of the business.

Stuart will provide support to the team as they continue to deliver a wide range of services.

  • Fruitful Relationship Continues to Grow

Three members of the US2U Consulting team travelled to Spalding on Monday 21 October to witness the opening of a new storage facility at Worldwide Fruit.

The company’s new facility was officially opened by former Worldwide Fruit CEO Robert Balicki. Guests were then given a tour and even got the chance to sample the cold temperatures of the storage units, which can range from -1.5°C to 5°C.

Newly-appointed CEO Steve Maxwell said the facility was part of creating a stronger future for the company. He said: “The facility will allow us to provide better quality products and maintain a strong position in relation to our competitors.”

US2U Consulting Director Rachel Blackburn said: “Having worked with Worldwide Fruit since I first formed US2U Consulting, it is great to see them thriving and investing in a successful future.”
